At Kurmak Builders, our goal is to reduce the environmental impact of our projects and minimize the need and use of non-renewable materials and resources. In the interest of conservation and waste reduction, we insist that both our team and our trade partner adhere to the following principles:
- Using sustainable and locally sourced materials. We support local suppliers and materials wherever possible. Not only does this cut shipping costs and reduce prices for you, but it also reduces unnecessary carbon emissions from transportation.
- Landfill Waste Reduction. We ensure that up to 75% of all construction waste generated once construction is complete is recycled. Whenever possible, salvageable items like kitchen cabinetry are donated to Habitat for Humanity to be used in the construction of subsidized housing.
